One Fine Day - Vegetable Fish Pie

I decided to publish this on March 1st, so happy march everyone! Can't believe we are on the chapter 3 of 12 in 2015 already!! It took me forever to produce one post, I know, sorry, but seriously, no one will ever care if I post something or not right? Hahaha, since I'm far away from the word "famous" or whatever lol

So right, today, I'm going to share with you a new recipe that I tried to made last month. I love fish, everyone loves fish, well except my two close friends that don't really know the yummy-ness of particular fish lol. Yes I'm talking about you two. Hahahaha :P. But if you don't really fancy fish like my friends, you can always change it to other stuff like chicken or beef or even tofu.

So this is where the hardest part begin, okay, I will try my best to remember the exact amount of ingredients I added, since you know I don't really measure all things up, it just happened that way. So caution, this recipe is measure by heart hahahaha xD

Vegetable Fish Pie

Filling Ingredients:
2 Fillets of fish, whatever fish you like, I used Mackerel or well known as Ikan Tenggiri
2 cups of mushrooms, any kind will do
2 cups of carrot, diced
1 cup of parsley
Unsalted butter
Coriander powder
Lemon juice
& other vegetables that you like can do, this is totally a D.I.Y

Topping Ingredients:
Potatoes, diced in same sizes
1/2 cup of milk
2 1/2 tbsp of salted butter

Lets make the topping first, all you need to do is boil the potatoes in the pot, you can add some chicken stock on the pot if you want to make your potatoes tastier. Boil it until it cooked and drain, on other pot, heat on your milk & butter together. After that, you just need to mash the potatoes with the milk until it turn out like mashed potato. Hahaha, and it actually a mashed potato, Thats it. Your topping is done.

On the pan, add the unsalted butter, then garlics, cloves, onions, and cook it until it turn brown-y, then add all the hard ingredients gradually like carrots, mushrooms, and chunk of fish, season it with oregano, basil, salt & pepper, sugar, and lemon juice. To kind of stick them all together, add cornstrach that have been dissolved with water.

Put the filling into a ramekin or something that heat proof, and top that with the mashed potato, add bit of cheese & sprinkle of chili powder, and baked it until the mashed potato kind of look golden-y.

I know, I'm so bad at giving instructions, but seriously this is very easy and you really can't mess up when making this! Until my very next post, xoxo.
