Maybelline Newyork Colorshow Lipstick Swatches

May is such a special month for me since its my birthday month, hope you all have a great days ahead this may!

I am one very picky person alive when it comes to lipstick. That why I always wearing lip tint or lip cream for daily basis. I like my lipstick to be matte, but moisturize matte not dry matte. I hate when my lipstick has glitter or something sparkly in it. I hate the glossy feeling, and I want my lipstick to be long lasting. Such a lot of demands right?

But all of my wish come true when Maybelline launched their Colorshow Makeup range last year. I'm not sure whether it was in 2014 or 2013.  But nonetheless, with its very affordable prices, they came into quite few lipstick shades, that most of them really caught my eyes. Most of their formula are matte without shimmer in it, very moisturizing and pigmented as well. Which totally my kind of lipstick

However here in Indonesia, they only came into 15 shades of lipstick that we can choose from, but for now I only own 8 of them which are (from top left) 402 Plum-Tastic; 403 Plum Perfect; 301 True Toffee; 205 Red Siren; (from bottom left) 103 Crushed Candy; 105 Pinkalicious; 108 Party Pink; & 201 Downtown Red.

It comes with four different color undertones, which are pink, red, orange, & purple.

103 Crushed Candy
Crushed Candy is a warmer version of Party Pink, which make it more wearable for daily basis

105 Pinkalicious
Almost similar with Crushed Candy, but Pinkalicious has darker shade

108 Party Pink
Party Pink is such a lovely bright bright pink, which is really bright almost look like a neon pink in my opinion

201 Downtown Red
Apparently Downtown Red is my favorite go to red lipstick at the moment. It has blue undertone in it, which I  kind of amaze that this red lipstick compliment my skintone the best from other red colors I ever tried

205 Red Siren
Red Siren is a vibrant red lipstick with an orange undertone

301 True Toffee
The most prettiest natural shade from all of them, a nude with an orange undertone, which probably everyone's favorite

402 Plum-Tastic
A purple pink color, which is such a shame, even though it has beautiful color, but from all the shade this one has shimmer in it, which is a big no for me.

403 Plum Perfect
Probably my most favorite shade from all of them. Plum Perfect is the darkest and most used one. And I always bring her in my bag and purse wherever I go. A dark purple with hint of blue undertone. Trust me, it turns really great on the lip.

Overall, with the affordable prices, Maybelline Colorshow Lipstick has a great quality and worth to be added to our collection.

Until next time, xo.

Tony Moly Cats Wink Shiny Skin BB Cream

A long overdue post x-x

Okay guys. Yes, you name it, I'm back with a beauty review today. It took me quite a while actually to finally finish it. I can't really remember when I bought this, and its already 2015. But at that time, I don't really use this bb cream a lot, since I own way too many bb cream just for one face. But I finally give this bb cream a try. So here's my thought about this bb cream.

One Fine Day - Dairy-less & Egg-less Cake (Indonesian Cake Version)

For those people who have things for cakes, but have an allergies with dairy and eggs. I have a very great recipe for you to try. I've tried some of eggless & dairyless cake recipes that go viral on the internet, but when I tried them, it taste very plain and not that yummy like what they said.

Since I was little, my mom always make this cake once in awhile. For some Indonesians, this cake might be very familiar, since it has very unique flavour. I used to really hate this cake because of it smell, but the more older I grow, the more I fall in love with this cake.

  • 500 grams all purposed flour
  • 500 grams palm sugar
  • 1 tsp sodium bicarbonate
  • 1 tsp spekkoek powder
  • 2 1/2 glasses of water
  • 1 glass of cooking oil

  1. Preheat a sauce pan, put the palm sugar & water together until the palm sugar is melting, stir occasionally
  2. Measure the mixture of sugar water into a 2 1/2 glasses, and set aside.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients together, such as flour, sodium bicarbonate & spekkoek powder
  4. Pour the sugar water into the dry ingredients, and stir it until it well combine
  5. Pour the cooking oil into the cake mixture, and stir it again
  6. Pour the cake mixture into your cake mold, and put it in the oven (350F) for about 20 minutes or so until the cake is cooked, you need to check once in awhile to see if the cake is cooked or not.

The glass that we usually use is a 250 ml glass. And you totally can change the all purposed flour into almond flour or other gluten free flour as well. This recipe is easy and we don't need our fancy electric mixer. :)

Until next time again, xo.

One Fine Day - Rigatoni with Chicken Soy Sauce

Welcome to April 1st! And happy april's mop everybody! And yes another food post, so brace yourself xD

As a chinese I love soy sauce, and in other hand I also freaking love pasta. And also in other bad side, I'm very terrible on writing recipes and measuring them. As always, forgive me x-x.

Its very easy, all you need are minced onions & garlics, chopped baby corn, minced scallion, chopped chicken meat, chicken broth, soy sauce, blueberry jam, coriander, oregano, basil, black pepper, and oil.

Okay. Why I use blueberry jam? I just really love the taste and hint of blueberry on savory dishes instead on plain bread or something. It makes the dish more unique but still delish. So don't be afraid to add a bit of blueberry jam on the sauce xD

Until the very next time, xo.

One Fine Day - Vegetable Fish Pie

I decided to publish this on March 1st, so happy march everyone! Can't believe we are on the chapter 3 of 12 in 2015 already!! It took me forever to produce one post, I know, sorry, but seriously, no one will ever care if I post something or not right? Hahaha, since I'm far away from the word "famous" or whatever lol

So right, today, I'm going to share with you a new recipe that I tried to made last month. I love fish, everyone loves fish, well except my two close friends that don't really know the yummy-ness of particular fish lol. Yes I'm talking about you two. Hahahaha :P. But if you don't really fancy fish like my friends, you can always change it to other stuff like chicken or beef or even tofu.

So this is where the hardest part begin, okay, I will try my best to remember the exact amount of ingredients I added, since you know I don't really measure all things up, it just happened that way. So caution, this recipe is measure by heart hahahaha xD

Vegetable Fish Pie

Filling Ingredients:
2 Fillets of fish, whatever fish you like, I used Mackerel or well known as Ikan Tenggiri
2 cups of mushrooms, any kind will do
2 cups of carrot, diced
1 cup of parsley
Unsalted butter
Coriander powder
Lemon juice
& other vegetables that you like can do, this is totally a D.I.Y

Topping Ingredients:
Potatoes, diced in same sizes
1/2 cup of milk
2 1/2 tbsp of salted butter

Lets make the topping first, all you need to do is boil the potatoes in the pot, you can add some chicken stock on the pot if you want to make your potatoes tastier. Boil it until it cooked and drain, on other pot, heat on your milk & butter together. After that, you just need to mash the potatoes with the milk until it turn out like mashed potato. Hahaha, and it actually a mashed potato, Thats it. Your topping is done.

On the pan, add the unsalted butter, then garlics, cloves, onions, and cook it until it turn brown-y, then add all the hard ingredients gradually like carrots, mushrooms, and chunk of fish, season it with oregano, basil, salt & pepper, sugar, and lemon juice. To kind of stick them all together, add cornstrach that have been dissolved with water.

Put the filling into a ramekin or something that heat proof, and top that with the mashed potato, add bit of cheese & sprinkle of chili powder, and baked it until the mashed potato kind of look golden-y.

I know, I'm so bad at giving instructions, but seriously this is very easy and you really can't mess up when making this! Until my very next post, xoxo.
